The Philadelphia Museum of Art Welcomes Audrey Hudson to its Leadership Team

July 18, 2024 - Sasha Suda, the George D. Widener Director and CEO of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, today announced Audrey Hudson as the new Kathleen C. Sherrerd Deputy Director for Learning and Engagement.

A senior education professional with a passion for the arts, Hudson joins the PMA from the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) where she was Chief, Education, Programming & Diversity. In this role, she led museum’s programming and diversity initiatives. Prior to this, Hudson managed the AGO’s Schools and Early Learning program. An educator herself, Hudson taught undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Toronto, Ontario College of Art and Design University and Toronto Metropolitan University. Hudson holds a PhD in Education from the University of Toronto, where her work focused on Hip-Hop as a means of solidarity for Black and Indigenous youth.

Widener Director and CEO. “Audrey brings a depth of experience in education programming and a true passion for team building and community partnerships. With over two decades of in art education, Audrey will bring her results oriented, forward thinking approach, rooted in DEIA frameworks, to the PMA.”

Hudson’s first day will be August 26.
